Call For Speakers
We’re now inviting speaker submissions for The Electric Mine 2027.
We’re looking for speakers who are ready to be in the spotlight – sharing knowledge, challenging convention and helping the industry accelerate toward a net-zero future.
Before you submit…
The Electric Mine conference agenda is made up of panels, presentations and other content formats based on real-world examples of electrification. If your submission does not contain technical details that miners, engineers and contractors cannot practically apply to their own projects, we would urge you not to submit a proposal.
Please also note that talks including representatives from mining companies will receive precedence over all other talks – sponsors and exhibitors included. Attendee feedback has indicated that the most valuable content comes when mining companies share details of their own electrification project journeys. As a result, the event agenda will be geared towards highlighting the mining company community’s experiences.
What we’re looking for:
For the 2027 agenda, we are particularly interested in real-world experience, technical depth and forward-thinking ideas around these core themes:
- Head-to-head diesel versus battery benchmarking
- Battery capacity: Is bigger always better?
- Diesel-electric/hybrid options for load and haul
- Utility and production support fleets: An obvious starting point for electrification?
- Charging considerations: Stationary, mobile or dynamic plus battery swapping?
- The ongoing marriage of electrification and autonomous haulage
- Diversifying the energy mix – what ‘green fuels’ are futureproofed?
- Canada case study: Why have more BEVs been deployed here than elsewhere?
- The China factor – A new era of collaboration not just competition
